Agreka Build is thrilled to announce that we have been named the winner of the Big Innovation Pitch Award at Futurebuild 2025!
Futurebuild is a leading event that drives innovation in the built environment, bringing together sustainability pioneers, industry leaders, and cutting-edge solutions. Focused on net-zero, circular economy, and sustainable construction, Futurebuild provides a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and business growth. The event features exhibitions, expert-led seminars, and networking opportunities, making it an essential destination for professionals looking to shape a greener, more resilient future for the industry.
Out of 70 innovations showcased by more than 200 exhibitors, Agreka Build was selected as one of only four finalists to present our pioneering solution of the circular straw-based insulation fibreboard to the built environment. The competition culminated in an exciting Dragon’s Den-style pitch on the 5th March, 2025 where we battled it out for the coveted title, and we are proud to have been named the winner.
This milestone marks the first time our circular insulation material has been showcased to the public. Over the past year, our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to develop this sustainable solution, and the overwhelming interest and recognition we received at Futurebuild was truly inspiring. This award serves as a huge boost to our team and further strengthens our commitment to driving the transition to a net-zero future.
During the exhibition, we had the privilege of hosting a delegation from China and the Netherlands, fostering valuable discussions on international collaboration in sustainable construction. Facilitated by Innovate UK, the exchange allowed us to share insights, explore potential partnerships, and strengthen global connections. As a gesture of goodwill, we exchanged gifts, symbolising our commitment to cross-border innovation and cooperation in the transition towards a net-zero built environment.
