First Prize Winner at UK's largest student climate accelerator program

In January 2024, Agreka Build's founders team including Antoinette Oni, My Linh Nguyen, Lai Han Ming and Joseph Fiehl had the privilege of being among 100 founders to participate in the UK's largest student climate accelerator program, hosted by Climate Entrepreneurs at Imperial College London. Along with 24 other climate tech teams, we presented our pitch in front of the 20 largest climate-focused VCs, and excitingly won First Place.

Our team is created with an aim to decarbonising the construction and agricultural industries, which together account for 65% of global CO2 emissions. We achieve this by converting farm waste into building materials. Our flagship product is the world's first circular bio-insulation product, being completely made from waste and recyclable at the end of life. The majority of the team were raised by farmers and our connection to the land and its resources are deeply embedded in who we are. We want to bring back balance to the built environment through material innovation and stewarding our resources more sustainably.
