At Agreka Build, sustainability isn’t just part of our mission—it drives every decision we make. We are proud to announce that our electricity supply is now 100% renewable, officially certified by British Gas and verified by the Carbon Trust.
Our Renewable Electricity Certificate confirms that 100% of the electricity supplied to Agreka Build Ltd is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs). These guarantees ensure that all of our electricity comes from natural energy sources, such as wind and solar power, rather than fossil fuels.
By running our operations on renewable energy, Agreka Build continues to lower its carbon footprint and align with the highest environmental standards. According to the GHG Protocol Scope 2 guidance, this certification allows us to report zero emissions for our purchased electricity using the “market-based” method.
The Carbon Trust independently verifies these renewable electricity guarantees, giving assurance that our supply is genuinely renewable and contributes to accelerating the UK’s transition to net zero. This is more than a compliance milestone—it’s a reinforcement of our long-term commitment to creating circular, low-carbon building materials while ensuring that our production processes are powered by clean energy.
From reimagining waste agricultural straw into WHEATEX® insulation products to ensuring our facilities run on renewable electricity, we are committed to tackling the climate crisis from multiple angles.
